Please see the message below from Superintendent John Lopez: Board Member Jude Cazares has resigned from the Board of Education effective February 1, 2021. Please note that the Board is taking applications through Thursday, February 25, 2021, for persons wanting to be appointed to the vacant seat. Mr. Cazares’ term on the Board expires on November 30, 2022 and elections for his seat will be held in November 2022. Eligible persons must be 18 or older, a citizen of the state, a resident of the school district, and a registered voter. A person cannot serve on the Board and work for the District. Applications may be submitted in electronic form by clicking this news article or using the following: www.nlmusd.org/boardapp/ Completed applications must be submitted no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
