If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by calling our school at (562) 864-2508, or feel free to stop by Room 65.
Please remember to encourage your children to read every single day - at least 25 minutes for 2nd graders and 35 minutes for 3rd graders - including weekends! Don't forget to record all reading minutes on the green Monthly Reading Logs. These are collected on the first school day of the following month.
Also be sure to check your child's agenda or notebook daily for homework assignments. Please sign the agenda/notebook after checking for completion of all homework assignments. Please help your student be more efficient by helping them stay organized. Please encourage them to clean out their backpacks and notebooks nightly. Remember, all fliers and handouts are sent home on Thursdays!
While you are surfing the web, a great website to visit would be www.studyisland.com! Your child should have his or her username and password. We practice our Language Arts and Math skills using this website weekly while visiting the computer lab. Please encourage your children to visit this educational website often while at home! :)
